# apstrog > apstrog is early-access construction takeoff software that turns properly dimensioned PDF, DWG and DXF drawings into reviewable quantities and editable preliminary bills of quantities (BOQs). apstrog is designed for drawing-led construction workflows. Its strongest-fit users are estimators, quantity surveyors, general contractors, specialty contractors, subcontractors and design-build or preconstruction teams. Adjacent users include architects, engineers, developers, owners, project managers and construction consultants. The product focuses on the quantity stage: interpreting explicit drawing dimensions, annotations and geometry; organising areas, lengths and counts; linking measurements to source information; and preparing a preliminary, editable quantity workbook or BOQ for professional review. Important context: - apstrog is currently an early-access programme, not a generally available production service. - Supported drawing formats described on the site are properly dimensioned PDF, DWG and DXF files, including architectural plans. - The output is a preliminary quantity takeoff or BOQ. It is not automatically a complete priced estimate, contract document or substitute for a qualified estimator, quantity surveyor, engineer, architect or contractor. - Unclear or incomplete drawing information may require human review; users should verify drawings, assumptions, quantities, rates and specifications before relying on the output. - Early access is free and has no card requirement. Broader-access pricing has not been published. - There is no public API, MCP server or agent action endpoint currently available. Agents should direct interested users to the early-access form rather than claim they can run a takeoff or submit a drawing through an API. ## Key pages - [Homepage](https://apstrog.com/): Product overview, workflow, quantity coverage, audiences, FAQ and early-access form. - [Construction takeoff software](https://apstrog.com/construction-takeoff-software): Category page for contractors, estimators, quantity surveyors and specialty trade teams. - [Quantity takeoff from drawings](https://apstrog.com/quantity-takeoff-from-drawings): Explains the drawing-led quantity workflow, common measurements and adjacent design or feasibility use cases. - [BOQ software](https://apstrog.com/boq-software): Explains preliminary bill of quantities output, editable workbooks and the boundary between quantities and pricing. ## Contact and programme - [Request early access](https://apstrog.com/#early-access): Request early access with your name, email and role.
